Depart Launceston from your accommodation and travel to Cradle Mountain National Park on McDermott’s fully guided day tour.
Enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Great Western Tiers and the remarkable murals at Sheffield depicting the history of the Cradle Valley on the way.
On arrival at Cradle Mountain you have the opportunity to visit Dove Lake and enjoy a fully guide walk with spectacular views of Cradle Mountain, see beautiful rain forests at Waldheim Chalet and enjoy the cascading waterfalls of the National Park.
Mid-afternoon you will be transferred to your accommodation and have the opportunity to enjoy the unique wilderness surrounds.
This evening you have the choice to join either the Night-spotting in the park after dark (all year round but departure times vary), an animal night spotting adventure searching for the locals including wallabies, wombats, possums and maybe even a Tasmanian devil or the Star Gazing tour (9pm 1 Oct till 31 March) and join our experienced guide on a journey of the vast expanse of the Cradle night sky to witness countless stars, planets and magical formations.
Enjoy a free morning at leisure to explore some of the easily accessible short walks on offer in and around the Cradle Mt Interpretation Centre or alternatively enjoy the hotel facilities which may include the Wilderness Gallery or a visit to the Alpine Day Spa.
Mid-afternoon you will be picked up from your accommodation and join a fully guided tour travelling back to Launceston arriving at approximately 5.30pm

Flying into Perth we take a cruise on the Swan River and visit Kings Park & the Botanical Gardens along with other attractions. We head south to explore the famous wine region of Margaret River with stop overs at Mandurah, Bunbury and Busselton. Visit the Cape Leeuwin region before heading further south to the scenic Albany As we travel from on we get the chance to view the various wildflowers, huge Tingle trees with massive canopies, visit the world renowned Wave Rock and enjoy a walk along the beaches of the South West Coast.

Explore the Churches and Cathedrals of Adelaide with some shopping in the Rundle St mall before we venture out to the Barossa Valley and the National Wine Centre. We will sweeten the day with some chocolate tasting at Haigh’s which will keep you going onto the Botanical gardens. We cruise on the picturesque Coorong, the mouth of the mighty Murray river to watch the abundance of birdlife. Travelling eastward and crossing into historical Victoria to Ballarat we can try our hand at fossicking for gold at Sovereign Hill and try not to go to mad as we visit the infamous J Ward mental asylum. In Melbourne we can visit the law maker at Parliament House before taking the time to do some shopping and café hopping in St Kilda
