North East Tas Highlights Little Blue Lake & Musselroe Wind Farm

Overview

Explor­ing the North East cor­ner of Tas­ma­nia, we stop for morn­ing tea at Brid­port, trav­el through to Mus­sel­roe Vis­i­tor Cen­tre for a self-guid­ed tour of the Wind­farm at Cape Port­land, the largest wind farm in Tas­ma­nia with 56 turbines. 

Our sight­see­ing con­tin­ues at the pic­turesque Lit­tle Blue Lake. a nat­ur­al phe­nom­e­non result­ing from the pio­neer­ing min­ing days of South Mount Cameron and the sur­round­ing areas of the Far North East of Tasmania.

We enjoy lunch at the Win­naleah Hotel before dri­ving through the rein­vent­ed moun­tain bike town that Der­by has become, before trav­el­ling home.
