Celebrate 80 years of conservation, community and connection at Chauncy Vale Wildlife Sanctuary, established in 1946 and one of Tasmania’s oldest private conservation areas.
Step back in time as you explore this remarkable living museum, including the historic Chauncy family home. Discover the simple, sustainable way of life of Nan and Anton Chauncy and learn about the legacy they created in this special corner of Tasmania.
For generations, Chauncy Vale has provided meaningful experiences for Tasmanian families, individuals and community groups. This special anniversary celebration offers the opportunity to be part of that continuing story and mark 80 years of conservation and community.
Celebrations commence at 1:00pm, which is reflected in our tour departure and pick-up times. A later return to Launceston is expected at approximately 6:00pm.
There will be an opportunity to stop in Campbell Town for lunch at your own expense.
Please note: The tour is weather dependent and includes walking on uneven tracks. Comfortable, sturdy footwear is recommended.
