80^th Anniver­sary Celebration

Cel­e­brate 80 years of con­ser­va­tion, com­mu­ni­ty and con­nec­tion at Chauncy Vale Wildlife Sanc­tu­ary, estab­lished in 1946 and one of Tasmania’s old­est pri­vate con­ser­va­tion areas.

Step back in time as you explore this remark­able liv­ing muse­um, includ­ing the his­toric Chauncy fam­i­ly home. Dis­cov­er the sim­ple, sus­tain­able way of life of Nan and Anton Chauncy and learn about the lega­cy they cre­at­ed in this spe­cial cor­ner of Tasmania.

For gen­er­a­tions, Chauncy Vale has pro­vid­ed mean­ing­ful expe­ri­ences for Tas­man­ian fam­i­lies, indi­vid­u­als and com­mu­ni­ty groups. This spe­cial anniver­sary cel­e­bra­tion offers the oppor­tu­ni­ty to be part of that con­tin­u­ing sto­ry and mark 80 years of con­ser­va­tion and com­mu­ni­ty.

Cel­e­bra­tions com­mence at 1:00pm, which is reflect­ed in our tour depar­ture and pick-up times. A lat­er return to Launce­s­ton is expect­ed at approx­i­mate­ly 6:00pm.

There will be an oppor­tu­ni­ty to stop in Camp­bell Town for lunch at your own expense.
