McDer­mot­t’s Trav­el Club Terms and Conditions

1. Book

Online at www​.mcder​motts​.com​.au, via email travelclub@​mcdermotts.​com.​au, call the office reser­va­tions 03 6330 3717, or alter­na­tive­ly vis­it our office 35 Legana Park Dri­ve, Legana 

2. Pay­ment

Prices quot­ed are in Aus­tralian dollars.

We accept pay­ment for all tours via Cash, Cheque, EFT­POS, Cred­it Card or Bank Transfer

Day Tours:
Pay­ments can be made at the time of book­ing or up to the day of departure.

Mul­ti-Day Tours — Local/​Interstate/​Overseas
A deposit is required at time of book­ing to secure a place on the tour. Please refer to con­fir­ma­tion let­ter for pay­ment dead­lines that may apply, as all tours will vary depend­ing on third par­ty providers. 

3. Book­ing Changes & Trav­el Insurance

It is strong­ly rec­om­mend­ed that you have Trav­el Insur­ance for all mul­ti-day tours to cov­er you against ill­ness or acci­dent, can­cel­la­tion fees, loss of lug­gage, etc. or the unfor­tu­nate event that you must can­cel your booking. 

Any changes to your book­ing once the deposit has been received may incur amend­ment fees. 

The reser­va­tions we make on your behalf or groups behalf are sub­ject to can­cel­la­tion fees from all Sup­pli­ers, mak­ing it nec­es­sary to enforce strict can­cel­la­tion poli­cies. If you can­cel a reser­va­tion pri­or to the depar­ture of your tour, can­cel­la­tion fees will apply

4. Can­cel­la­tions

Day Tours: When can­celled out­side 24 hours, funds may be trans­ferred to anoth­er tour, held in cred­it, or ful­ly refund­ed sub­ject to any third-par­ty fees that may apply. 

Mul­ti Day Tours — Local / Inter­state / Overseas

Out­side 30 Days — McDer­motts will pro­vide full refund where possible.

If the book­ing is can­celled and there has been no can­cel­la­tion fees or cred­its retained by sup­pli­ers, pas­sen­gers will receive a full refund. In the event the sup­pli­er has been paid and they are not offer­ing a refund, we will refund in full minus the out­laid funds only. 

With­in 30 Days – pas­sen­gers will for­feit deposit and oth­er third-par­ty fees that may apply. 

Can­cel­la­tions by McDer­mot­t’s Trav­el Club

All tours are required to meet a min­i­mum amount of pay­ing pas­sen­gers for the tour to operate.

Where a tour does not meet min­i­mum num­bers McDer­motts Coach­es reserve the right to can­cel the tour and return all pay­ments with­out penalty.

5. Health, Fit­ness Require­ments and Med­ical Disclosure

You must be in good health to par­tic­i­pate on Trav­el Club Tours, espe­cial­ly extend­ed tours. 

You must also let us know if there are any under­ly­ing health issues that may impact on your par­tic­i­pa­tion and enjoy­ment of the tour and you may be asked to pro­vide med­ical evi­dence to sup­port your claim. 

Please note fail­ure to declare med­ical issues can impact on your trav­el insur­ance, third par­ty oper­a­tors, oth­er pas­sen­gers, and McDer­motts Trav­el Club.

6. Route changes, Post­pone­ment, Can­cel­la­tion or Delay Inclement Weath­er Action

McDer­motts reserves the right to change routes, time, date, can­cel or delay the depar­ture where it may be deemed unsafe or not pos­si­ble to con­duct the tour. 

7. Exclusions/​Inclusions

The inclu­sions list­ed in the tour itin­er­ary infor­ma­tion are includ­ed in the tour price.

Exclu­sions may include some meals if not list­ed on the itin­er­ary, option­al attrac­tions fees and those things of a per­son­al nature. 

8. Indemnity/​Limitation of Liability

McDer­motts Coach­es has no lia­bil­i­ty for any act, omis­sion, or default, whether neg­li­gent or oth­er­wise of any des­ti­na­tion or third party. 

McDer­motts Coach­es will not be liable for loss or dam­ages aris­ing out of the delay in depar­ture or delay of services.

9. COVID-19 Trav­el Disclaimer

McDer­motts Coach­es are a COVID Ready accred­it­ed tourism busi­ness and hold the nec­es­sary accred­i­ta­tion that iden­ti­fies the busi­ness as part of Aus­trali­a’s trust­ed Tourism Trade Check­list and rep­re­sents busi­ness trade compliance. 

McDer­motts have devel­oped a Covid-19 Safe­ty Plan under the guide­lines of Work­safe Tas­ma­nia and to this extent, McDer­motts will be fol­low­ing the Tas­man­ian Gov­ern­ment Pub­lic Health Direc­tion in rela­tion to reg­u­la­tions sur­round­ing com­mer­cial trans­port trav­el. Copies of our Work­safe Plan can be seen on request and all tour pas­sen­gers will be advised with regards the details of the Covid-19 Safe­ty Plan upon com­mence­ment of each tour.

We ask that you do not trav­el if you are unwell or expe­ri­enc­ing symp­toms of COVID-19, have had close con­tract or helped care for any per­son with COVID-19, have recent­ly arrived from over­seas or have been asked to quar­an­tine in the past 14 days. You will be asked to sign a Pas­sen­ger Health Ques­tion­naire on the tour depar­ture day to con­firm these details. 

We ask that by accept­ing our terms and con­di­tions when book­ing, you acknowl­edge and agree that McDer­motts Coach­es have devel­oped a suit­able work­place safe­ty plan around Covid-19 and there­fore will do every­thing pos­si­ble to mit­i­gate any risk, and that you agree that McDer­motts Coach­es will not be liable for the unin­ten­tion­al expo­sure or harm due to the Coro­n­avirus (COVID-19).

10. Pro­mo­tion­al Mate­r­i­al

McDer­mot­t’s Trav­el Club rep­re­sen­ta­tives may take pho­tographs of you while you are on tour and those images may be used in our adver­tis­ing material.

McDermott’s will, how­ev­er, obtain spe­cial per­mis­sion if the image is not a group pho­to and ask for your con­sent to use the pho­to for any pro­mo­tion­al purposes.
