Our History
1987
Where the McDermott family business started!
First-ever school bus, a Bedford, pictured at the top of Notley Hills in the Tamar Valley which incidentally is still operated by McDermotts.

1995
First touring coach, 0303 Mercedes Benz purchased on a family holiday interstate and refurbished on the front lawn at the family home in Rosevears.
Travel Club was instigated along with some current-day connection, Spirit Travel our first interstate tour operator.
1997
First inbound tour group arrived from Hong Kong and travelled regularly with us over the Christmas holiday period for several years
1998
Travelled interstate and purchased two new small coaster coaches along with the very first premium, a Denning touring coach added to the fleet.
The beginning of the association with major national companies which became the main catalyst for entering the premium touring market.
1999
Peter McDermott driving the first-ever Scenic Tour in Tasmania, today we are the operate nationally for Scenic, Australia wide.
2000
McDermotts fleet has now grown to 2 large and 4 small coaches
